Bainland Lodge Retreat’s Organic Herb Garden

We are excited to announce a brand-new herb garden, planted next to our all-weather terrace at The Nest, our restaurant and bar. Which has been carefully cultivated by Jody Lidgard, a Chelsea Flower Show gold winner.

The herbs that have been planted will be used in our meals at The Nest to add an even more fresh, vibrant taste to the dishes. The garden boasts a range of herbs including Lavender, Thyme, Basil, Rosemary, Mint, and many more that are essential for our delicious menus. We take pride in the fact that the herbs are home grown and organic, guaranteeing that our guests receive the freshest meals possible.

In addition to the herbs, Jody Lidgard, has also planted Honeysuckle, Roses, Lupins and Alliums to provide food for our busy little friends, the bees. This is in keeping with our commitment to re-wilding and preserving the natural environment around our luxury lodge park. We believe that it is our responsibility to give back to nature and to do what we can to support the local ecosystem.

At Bainland Lodge Retreats, we continue to uphold our commitment to re-wilding and are proud to have planted over 1500 trees around our luxury lodge park. We are protecting the natural environment and providing a beautiful, tranquil setting for our guests to relax in. Our herb garden and re-wilding programme are just two examples of the many ways in which we are working to achieve these goals.

We believe that by offering fresh, locally sourced ingredients and supporting the local ecosystem, we can provide our guests with a unique and unforgettable experience at Bainland Lodge Retreats. So, whether you are joining us for a romantic retreat, a family escape, or a corporate and wellness retreat, we invite you to explore our herb garden and taste the difference that fresh, home-grown ingredients can make. We look forward to welcoming you to our haven here at Bainland.
